The Field Solutions Officer will provide quality customer service by conducting regular field visits and providing support and case management of Australian Apprentices and Employers in the Southern region.

To be successful the applicant will be required to meet the following key requirements:

  • Ability to be systematic in approach to work whilst complying with relevant guidelines, procedures, deadlines, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to develop professional correspondence to a high standard.
  • Work semi-autonomously, set own goals and daily programs and report on progress to team members and other staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new client management database programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Apprenticeships system.
  • Demonstrated ability to empathise and communicate effectively with diverse client groups.
  • Commitment and motivation to achieve high quality outcomes by meeting or exceeding KPI’s and set targets.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Northern Territory for extended periods.
  • This is a fixed term contract.

About the Role

The Employment Specialist is responsible for managing a caseload of Apprentices and Trainees across varied industries. You will provide mentoring and support to those apprentices and their workplaces, whilst also ensuring the Group Training Organisation is meeting contractual requirements. 

If you enjoy working in remote communities and are passionate about training and development of local Territorians, this position will provide you with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, travel throughout the Northern Territory and personally contribute back to the local community.

To be successful the applicant must:

  • Have an understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system and Group Training arrangements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor to client groups
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic
  • High levels of organisational skills is critical
  • High level of previous administration skills and experienced with computers and Microsoft software
  • The ability to travel throughout the Territory
  • Have had exposure working with indigenous culture and in communities is an advantage

The Employment Specialist must possess a manual Northern Territory driver's licence.

The Recruitment Officer (Gateway Officer) will provide recruitment services from identifying job seekers, conducting interviews and attend marketing events.

To be successful in the role, GTNT Group is looking for someone who has had experience in recruitment and ability to communicate to a diverse group with confidence. You will be required to be highly organised and have a professional personable skills to network and create relationships with appropriate stakeholders.

The applicant will be required to 

  • Possess a current police check (not more than 2 years old) and working with children's clearance (Ochre card) (or willingness to obtain upon commencement)
  • Hold a current NT drivers license
  • Must be a permanent resident

Selection Criteria 

  • Completion of or progress towards Certificate III in Business or and/or subsequent relevant experience in recruitment field.
  • Demonstrated sound organisational, administrative and teamwork skills with ability to meet tight deadlines whilst demonstrating initiative and maintaining personal integrity.
  • High level of competency in information technology and employee management systems.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels across diverse disciplines with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated experience in Recruitment or Human Resources.
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander society and culture, including the requirement for proper negotiation and consultation with Indigenous people.
  • Ability to network and create relationships with relevant stakeholders
